Filing Fees

DIY-divorce in Washington state is the cheapest way to get divorced. However, the spouses still have to pay a court filing fee. The filing fee is in addition to the cost of using an Online Divorce service.

The court filing fee is a mandatory payment charged at the time of filing. In Washington state, it is $280 on average, but this amount may vary by county.

Plaintiffs who cannot afford to pay filing fees may fill out a special form to request the court to waive the filing fee.

Here’s how our process works.
